Get yourself started with this American Dude Co combo pack:
Scent Profile:
Sweet blackberry and warm amber balanced out with a hint of fresh cypress and tangy lemon wrapped up in the primal scent of musk.
Awesome Info:
It was either Flat Dark Earth or Black for this one. We made a pros and cons list, ran surveys, we made a bunch of cool charts and graphs on a spreadsheet, we even did one of those Venn diagram things. It was a close call, but in the end, “Black” narrowly edged out the win… we think it’s because one of the main ingredients is Blackberry… and “blackberry” has the word “black” in it.
You'll get:
- A 1oz bottle of our highly nourishing beard oil
- A 2oz tin of our light to medium hold nourishing beard balm
- A 2oz jar of our buttery smooth beard butter

Manly American Men Always Use Beard Care Products
Men taking care of their beards with oils dates back to Ancient Mesopotamia... and those men were manly! Now manly men still use beard oil, but we also use butters and balms too... so by our estimation, we are arguably more manly now then we ever were.
Our beards are there to protect our faces from the elements and the sun, our skin in turn protects our beards by providing nourishment with our naturally produced oil called sebum. The sebum is produced by the sebaceous gland found within our follicles. Without sebum, our skin and hair dry out - creating flakes, itchiness, and dandruff, which lead to breakage, poor growth, and split ends.
With this in mind, we have formulated our beard care products with a selection of 100% natural ingredients that are abundant in the properties that best serve to protecting our hair and the skin underneath it by nourishing and moisturizing from within the follicles.
Our beard oils, beard butters, and our beard balms contain highly nourishing fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories, along with a host of other beneficial attributes that leave your beard, soft, manageable, and healthy.
What Our Beard Care Products Do For Your Beard and Skin
Keeping your skin moisturized is fundamental to a healthy beard. No dry skin, no flaking, no beardruff.
Like a wick, your beard hairs draw the nutrient rich beard oil from your skin, leaving it soft and manageable.
American Dude Co. beard products are chock-full of fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals that our beards love.
Our products contain soothing, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and elasticity promoting properties for healthy skin.
Split ends and breakage are symptoms of dry malnourished hair. Our products promote nourishment and elasticity.
Our products contain thymoquinone (TC) known to promote hair growth, along with a variety of oils & butters that promote repair.
Our Packaging
A lot of care was taken when deciding what kind of packaging we want to use for our products. What materials and colors worked best for each specific product, how bad ass does it look, and how convenient is it to use and store for our bearded brothers.
Beard Oil:
We chose to go with traditional Boston Rounds for our beard oil. Amber Boston Rounds absorb the most UV radiation and thus, protect the oil best, but they are basic and kind of bland. So we spiced it up with some frosted amber glass. The frosted coating leaves a more tactile feel to the touch, and gives it an awesome semi-translucent appearance that actually adds another layer of protection for your precious oils while still allowing you to check the level of oil in the bottle.
For application, we chose to use an orifice reducer instead of the more commonly used dropper. We all have had a mishap or two with knocking over a full bottle of oil where the dropper wasn't secured to the bottle yet. With an orifice reducer, you may lose a drop or two instead of a majority of the contents of the bottle if you do decide to accidentally knock it over. Additionally, we find it easier and a much more pleasant experience with just tipping the bottle over, and giving it a gentle tap on the bottom to get a drop of oil onto our palm.
Beard Butter:
Our beard butter does not contain any beeswax, and thus, it is more sensitive to temperature. To help combat melting, we use double walled jars to add a barrier of insulation separating your precious beard butter from the elements. This does not guarantee the butter will not melt during transit, but it does help, and any bit of help is always good. It would have been easier for us to add a tad of beeswax to our butter blend, but we feel a beard butter should not contain any beeswax, so we took the tougher route.
If your butter does melt, do not fret. Just throw it in the fridge for a couple of hours and you are golden. We feel that this is a minor trade-off for the awesome butter that you'll be getting.
Beard Balm:
If it aint broke, don't fix it. We use aluminum tins for our beard balms because they work amazingly.
Our Lids:
All of our products use brushed aluminum screw top caps with foam liners. Why? Because they don't rust, and they look way cooler than plastic lids.
That Added Bit of Assurance:
American Dude Company beard oils, beard balms, and beard butters all ship with PVC shrink bands. This guarantees that your product was not tampered with. The shrink bands are perforated, so when you do decide you want it opened, you won't need to use a crow bar to do so.
